Students at YKSD high schools may participate in any of the ASAA sanctioned activities, team, ESports (powered by Play VS) or individual sports. Participation in sports, clubs and extra-curricular activities offers incentives to our students outside of the classroom, can serve as a motivator and growth opportunities for our students. Offering activities provides avenues for our students to share and develop their talents. Education and athletics go hand in hand, so students must perform both in and out of the classroom. The overall goal is to meet YKSD Mission.   If your school would like to participate in any of the activities, please work with your local Principal to identify a coach and see about getting an activity started.

• For high school basketball, YKSD schools fall under the Golden Heart Conference Handbook

• Students must meet the eligibility standards of the Yukon Koyukuk School District and the Alaska School Activities Association to participate in activities.
