all kindergarten students and only those 1st graders with no kindergarten experience must be assessed.  Before completing this assessment, the state asks that each teacher spend four weeks observing the students and collecting preliminary data about the 13 indicators of readiness established by the state. Teachers are encouraged to complete an ADP for each student during the first four weeks of the academic year. Alaska state regulations require that a complete and final ADP be submitted online for all students by November 1st of each year.
