Al Wright

Al Wright, Minto

Al Wright has led a semi-nomadic life in the Athabascan tradition, only his means are different.  His father, son of an Athabascan woman and a goldmine stampede, was raised by the Episcopal Church.  Arthur Wright accompanied Hudson Stuck and other early missionaries on their adventures.

Since then Al has constantly been on the move.  His construction and airplane business took him to every village in the Interior and beyond. Although he and his wife Jeanne are successful at business, subsistence foods are the cornerstone of their lives.
