Using non-violent methods, Dr. King led the Civil Rights Movement in the United States from the mid-1950's until he was assassinated in 1968. His writings and orations are well-known and include, “I Have a Dream” speech, Nobel Peace Prize lecture and “Letter from a Birmingham Jail”.
